Temescal Red NV
The return of a Brooklyn West favorite with a new twist - a unique red blend of Amador County Tempranillo and Moon Mountain old-vine Zinfandel (vines planted in 1933). This is what our winemaker drinks at home. It tastes like a jammy Pinot and is simply delicious!
It's an unlikely 50/50 blend of 2018 zinfandel grapes from an 85 year old Moon Mountain vineyard and our 2017 Amador County Tempranillo.
Our take on an easy drinking red was created quite by accident when the winemaker and his assistant were playing around making unlikely blends in the barrel cave and discovered something that tasted marvelous. They spent the rest of the day trying to replicate it and decided then and there to bottle up 6 barrels.
